パンプス「J’ADIOR」はレザー、ベルベット、ラムスキンなどの素材展開があり、ヒールの高さもロー、ミドル、ハイがそろう。
ディオールの新アイコンシューズとして注目を集めているパンプス「J’ADIOR (ジャディオール)」の製作舞台裏に迫った動画が公開された。デザインスケッチから、同パンプスを印象づけるバックストラップのリボン製作工程、パーツの裁断など、“珠玉の1足”が生まれるまでを収めている。
すべては手書きのデッサンからはじまる
見どころは、イタリア・フィレンツェにある家族経営のエンブロイダリー（刺繍）工房でのリボン作り。「J’ADIOR 」のロゴは、1本の黒糸で刺繍されているため、一文字ごとに手作業で切断する。その後、7万5000以上のステッチが施され、一足分の装飾で実に3時間半を費やしているという。アクセントとなる“結び”が手作業で仕上げられているのも新たな発見といえそう。
